Assistant Cook

Responsibilities: - Assist the lead cook in preparing and cooking school meals - Assist in setting up and organizing the kitchen for efficient workflow - Follow recipes and portion sizes to ensure consistent quality of food - Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen area - Assist with dishwashing and cleaning duties as needed Qualifications: - Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred, but not required.
Must be ServSafe certified or willing to get ServSafe certified within 30 days.
Must pass CORI check.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously - Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately - Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team - Flexibility to work in all schools and learn all aspects of the operation to include the POS Note: This position is an entry-level role that provides an opportunity to gain experience in the culinary field.
Training will be provided for candidates who demonstrate a willingness to learn and a passion for cooking.
