Job Overview
Flux Marine is seeking a highly motivated Associate Software Engineer to join our fast-paced engineering team that is working with cutting edge marine electric propulsion technology.
This position will be responsible for tasks such as developing end-user applications, diagnostic applications and integration with hardware systems and backend services.
Roles and Responsibilities
Design and implement software applications tailored to enhance the experience of operating and owning boats powered by electric propulsion systems.
Work closely with mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, and other team members to integrate software solutions seamlessly with hardware components.
Ensure efficient and optimized code for backend and frontend software services.
Conduct thorough testing of software applications, identify bugs, and implement debugging solutions to maintain high-quality and reliable software.
Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in responding to evolving requirements and priorities within a dynamic startup environment.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline.
A minimum of 1 – 3 years in a relevant software engineering field.
Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and object-oriented programming.
Experience in HTML and CSS.
Experience in React or React Native for web and mobile applications.
Experience in unit testing.
Experience with productivity tools such VS Code, Git, Postman, Jest and Chrome developer tools.
Knowledge of REST APIs and JSON formatted content.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Effective communication, time management and team collaboration skills.
Experience with electric vehicles a plus.
