Position Summary:
This position will support API manufacturing activities by leading technology transfer, process development, process improvement and/or validation in compliance with all applicable guidelines.

Essential Requirements Include:
Perform all assigned tasks in a timely and organized manner in accordance with relevant cGMP, GLP, and company policies and procedures
Ensure high quality in documentation of all necessary and relevant information in a clear concise manner as per cGMPs.
Lead one or more process chemistry projects, train and mentor junior scientists and students
Execute chemistry experiments and purification procedures to develop, improve and/or validate robust API processes, based on quality-by-design
Endeavor to identify and characterize API related impurities and degradants
Actively participate in investigations, problem solving, and troubleshooting
Prepare and present data summaries (written and oral) as necessary
Communicate openly within the group to provide and gather information to optimize efficiency
Maintain good laboratory practices in compliance with safety and environmental requirements
Ability to work successfully in both a team/matrix environment as well as independently
Perform other related assignments and duties as required
Education and Experience:
MSc.
in Chemistry or related field with 7+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
Ph.
D.
in Chemistry or related field with 3+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
Preferred Experience:
With minimal guidance and supervision, conducts routine and non-routine activities in primary discipline
Effective in managing multiple competing activities and delivering to timelines
Ability to work in a cross-function environment
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Experienced in analytical techniques such as NMR, HPLC, GC, DSC, XRD
Experience at working with MS Office (Word, Power Point, Excel)
