PURVIS Systems has an immediate opening for a Software Engineer to develop new capabilities, as identified by the Government, and shall deliver operational software algorithms that implement these new capabilities.
Using simulated run data and actual in-water run data as provided by the Government, the contractor shall, using system performance analysis, deliver technical reports of torpedo performance.
The day-to-day responsibilities of this role include:
Designs, modifies, develops, writes, and implements software programming applications.
Supports and/or installs software applications/operating systems.
Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software.
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of software engineering.
May use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform assignments.
Familiarity with Linux and C++.
Comply with applicable quality and security procedures in the performance of duties.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 5+ years software engineering experience.
Experience creating, reviewing, and maintaining software systems using Linux and C++.
Effective customer and organizational level communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Experience with Verilog using the Vivado development environment.
Candidate must be able to obtain a government security clearance to the level of SECRET.
