This is the last of several estate items that we are reluctantly selling to those who know the value of such a floor covering.
We believe it’s origin is Persian or possibly Turkish.
But, not certain.
Hand stitching Wool fabric STOP ! If you are a scammer , GO AWAY ! It’s approx 80-90 years old and NOT perfect.
But, no rips, no tears , no holes but it is appropriately worn for a floor covering that was used sparingly every day.
Rug is kept in a climate controlled storage facility in Cranston.

Note: Rug was temporarily brought outside for the photographs in order to see the entire rug without furniture obstruction.
Immediately brought back inside after photos.
You’ll notice some excellent photographs showing the rug and it’s entirety.
Also noticed one photo with a surface worn spot which is typical of a rug this age.
Modestly worn side of the rug was always toward the floor.
It does not noticeable AT ALL on the opposite side of the rug.
It is only surface.

You’ll also notice that typical of a rug this age, north and south fridges would need to be slightly trimmed or re-sewn.

This particular floor covering ( we sold 3 others) has been in the family for decades.
Owner has recently become dependent on full-time nursing care.

PHOTOS SENT UPON POTENTIAL BUYER INQUIRY ! There is fringe wear along with modest expected wear on reverse side but the rug is fully intact and without holes or tears.
It was well taken care of and professionally cleaned every fall.

This rug is something you would want to display in a prominent room versus in the basement where no one could enjoy its beauty.
This floor covering is not a “job lot” special and is priced as such.
