The Credit Administrator is responsible for providing administrative assistance to the Credit Analysts and Underwriters in collecting and reviewing due diligence items for closing of SBA, USDA and conventional loans.
In addition, responsibilities include handling post-closing follow-up to include subsequent disbursements, loan sales and servicing set-up and providing reporting support for the VP of Commercial Lending.
*Major Duties and Responsibilities* 1.
Review all new loan packages for completeness and follow-up for any required information prior to submission to underwriting.
2.
Order credit reports and D&B reports, 4506T verifications and INS verifications.
Order and follow for appraisals and environmental reports in conjunction with the Credit Analyst.
3.
Accurately prepare SBA and USDA application forms based on Loan Report and credit approval.
Prepare SBA/USDA application packages and assure timely submission for issuance of guarantee documents.
4.
Prepare Commitment Letters, account maintenance form, wire requests, and other documents required to fund the loan and ensure proper set up on Fiserv.
5.
Provide support for Credit Analyst in setting up application, servicing and bulky files.
Review application, servicing, legal and bulky files for completeness prior to delivery to the file room.
6.
Complete loan set-up on Fiserv to assure all loan information, collateral and tickler information is complete and accurate.
Follow-up with attorney and borrower for post-closing items and copies of recorded security documents.
7.
Ensure all loan sales are performed in a timely manner and that all loan sale documentation is prepared correctly with necessary approvals received from SBA/USDA prior to sale.
8.
Maintain integrity of Pipeline and provide monthly reports to the VP of Commercial Lending for monthly reviews with staff.
9.
Work with Accounting and VP of Commercial Lending to prepare quarterly reports for the Board of Directors.
10.
Perform miscellaneous additional duties as assigned.
*Skills and Knowledge Required* This position requires an in-depth knowledge of loan administration such as may be gained through a minimum of one year of experience in financial services in a commercial lending environment, preferably with SBA/USDA experience.
Other required skills include: * Familiarity with financial statements, loan documents, and business structures preferred.
* High degree of organizational and communication skills required.
* Must be able to meet deadlines.
* Must possess the ability to handle complex, detailed transactions and exercise effective interpersonal relations under stress.
* Must possess the ability to exercise judgment in recognizing differences among work situations and in selecting and applying numerous related guidelines, policies and procedures to assignments, making minor deviations to specific cases and determining a sound course of action from among several alternatives.
* Must possess strong communication skills, ability to interact with Credit Analysts, senior management, customers, attorneys, CPAs, appraisers, etc.
* Must possess the ability to perform job functions independently and with limited supervision.
