*COMMUNITY SERVICES DIRECTOR* *About Us * The Women's Center is a non-profit organization in the SouthCoast of Massachusetts dedicated to providing comprehensive services to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
We offer a supportive environment for individuals to begin a journey to safety, hope, and empowerment.
*Position Location: *New Bedford *Work Schedule: *Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm *Pay Rate: * $75,000 to $85,000 (annualized) *FLSA Classification: *Exempt *Job Purpose* The Community Services Director oversees and manages teams responsible for providing community outreach and education, housing assistance, counseling advocacy, medical advocacy, civilian police advocacy, and court advocacy to victims and survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence.
*Responsibilities* * Develop and implement the strategic vision and goals for Community Services in alignment with The Women’s Center mission and objectives.
* Interview and train new staff.
Provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
Ensure that all staff receive clinical supervision, training, and professional development to deliver high levels of service.
Create an environment of individual accountability and teamwork.
* Collaborate with other Directors and staff to facilitate integrated services and coordinate client care.
* Oversee the provision of adult counseling services including intakes and walk-ins.
Oversee and support the communication and collaboration with Shelter Services when counseling is provided to shelter participants.
* Manage the Alternatives to Shelter (ATS) Program and Home Port Program to support domestic violence victims and survivors who need safe, stable, transitional housing.
* Oversee the medical advocacy program.
* Oversee the court advocacy program, ensuring compliance with the SAFEPLAN contract.
* Oversee the police advocacy program in partnership with the state District Attorney’s office.
* Develop and implement outreach and education programs that increase awareness of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other forms of gender-based violence in the community.
* Build and maintain relationships with community partners, including law enforcement, medical providers, and others who serve survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
* Monitor program best practices, performance, and outcomes; and implement continuous quality improvement strategies.
* Ensure that services are provided in compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements including clinical supervision.
* Oversee and support staff in managing program budgets.
* Other duties as assigned.

* Familiar with legal and regulatory requirements related to domestic violence services.
* Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and best practices in providing services to domestic violence and sexual assault survivors.
* Technology savvy – proficient with Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
*Education and Experience* * Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, public administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred * Licensed as a social worker in the state of Massachusetts preferred * Six years experience in domestic violence advocacy, counseling, or related fields; experience in a trauma-informed crisis center is desired but not required * Four years experience in staff supervision, training, and development; proficient in leading and managing individuals and teams in a social services setting * Two years experience in program management, developing and implementing survivor-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally-competent programs and services; preferably in a non-profit or social services setting *Benefits* * Health, dental, vision, life insurance, flexible spending account (FSA), retirement savings plan * Vacation, personal, sick time off and paid holidays * A supportive and inclusive work environment _The Women’s Center has a diverse workforce that is representative of the communities we serve, and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
