This position ensures all inventory items, as well as the corresponding documentation, are accounted for and received from Wholesale Vendors, made Ready For Sale, and stored in a compliant manner.
All discrepancies, package tags, and METRC work are handled immediately.
This includes monitoring, reviewing, uploading invoices, manifests, and any other documents pertaining to the inventory.
As an Inventory Agent, you will perform routine inspections of in-process materials and finished products, as well as support on-going work with the Retail Team.
Inventory Agents are responsible for upkeep of the Retail Sales Floor inventory and maintaining sufficient levels of product for sale for the adult use and medical sales floors alike.
The Inventory Agent also has sufficient knowledge of the retail space, product masters in the POS, and ability to update and maintain an accurate menu in-store and online.
The ideal candidate must possess strong attention to detail, and experience working within a highly regulated industry.
Duties/Responsibilities: Review all documentation pertaining to compliance and complete all data entry Reconciliation of Cannabis inventories and integration between METRC and Dutchie systems.
This includes oversight of physical locations and digital locations Creates products for sale within the systems, and assists with product errors Uploading/monitoring of purchase order invoices, METRC manifests, and any other transfer documents into the corporate drive Destroy unusable cannabis products Receive wholesale and internal deliveries Stay up to date on all existing and new compliance laws specific to inventory packaging, labeling, testing, storage, auditing, transfers/deliveries, destruction, security, marketing, and retail sale of products Complete reports on errors and deficiencies within documentation and record keeping of products Performs routine audits of inventory documents, and physical inventory audits.
Report the audits and investigations to the Inventory Manager Provide accurate lists of on hand inventory, status designation, and required items to be fully compliant for sale Recognizes areas of opportunity that improve safety, product quality, productivity, and employee morale Reviews in-process batch documentation which contains all the product testing information to ensure real-time compliance and labeling accuracy of product specifications Discusses errors directly with the Inventory Manager, so any corrections can be made in a timely manner Creation of Massachusetts compliant Cannabis product labels to include all required information listed in the 935 CMR Cannabis Regulations Provide real-time feedback to the inventory Manager by monitoring documentation practices and overall adherence to written policies/procedures for compliance and quality control Maintain the floor stock of AU and Medical with available “ready for sale” products Ability to understand placement within packaging room, rolling lockers, and vault for the purpose of sales floor restock / compliance measures Prioritizes the flow of inventory in the packaging room / vault with a first in first out method (FIFO) Ability to follow directives as communicated by the Retail Store Managers, Inventory Manager, Assistant Store Managers and Senior Inventory Agents Ability to be flexible/adaptable as the sales floor and work day functions change directive.
Understands the flow of product selling in high volume and advises / prioritizes inventory movement accordingly Communicates with the Inventory Manager and ASM on duty about putting out new products.
Maintains an accurate menu in-house and online with the use of POS product masters Knowledge and/or ability to perform Dutchie functions including inventory locations and transfers, correct editing of product masters, and printing appropriate product labels as needed.
Provides advice with process improvements to eliminate errors and reduce risk of contamination and/or compromising product quality Conducts all duties in compliance with safety rules, applicable SOPs, and other applicable guidelines Other duties as assigned Required Skills/Abilities: 40 hours a week required.
Open availability throughout the week as needed.
Must be willing to commit to a monthly audit schedule.
Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, and METRC.
Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
Good organizational skills.
Detail oriented, and good with numbers.
Ability to follow written procedures, and monitor others for adherence to written procedures.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to understand and interpret legal documentation.
Outstanding and professional communication skills.
Education and Experience: Prior experience in highly regulated industry, quality control, and quality assurance preferred Over 21 with the ability to obtain a MA agent registration card Completion of state seed-to-sale tracking (METRC) industry training.
