We're in search of a Maintenance Technician for a unique dual-site position in Middletown, RI.
You'll be overseeing maintenance at two nearby apartment communities, tackling a diverse range of responsibilities, including:
- Preserving the grounds and amenities of the properties, such as landscaping, pools, fitness centers, etc.
- Preparing apartments for incoming residents by performing tasks like painting, cleaning, repairing, and replacing appliances, fixtures, and hardware as necessary.
- Managing work order tickets efficiently and professionally, ensuring residents' satisfaction with the service provided.
- Responding promptly to maintenance emergencies on-call, such as water leaks, power outages, lockouts, and swiftly resolving them.
- Delivering outstanding customer service to residents, colleagues, and management, cultivating positive relationships with them.
- Demonstrating teamwork to serve residents effectively and maintain a thriving community.
- Executing special property projects and participating in snow removal as directed by the property manager.
- Contributing to achieving occupancy goals by consistently maintaining the property in superb condition.
To be eligible for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and dependable vehicle are mandatory
- Possession of personal tools
- Successful background and drug screening
- Minimum one year of experience in apartment maintenance or a related field
- Proficiency in basic mechanical, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical skills
- Ability to operate common tools and equipment like hammers, drills, saws, etc.
- Capability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as climbing, bending, kneeling, etc.
- Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively
- Adherence to safety protocols and regulations
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
This position offers a Monday-Friday schedule from 8:00 am-4:30 pm, with rotating on-call responsibilities.
