CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant

Responsibilities: - Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse - Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding - Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse - Assist with mobility and transfers of patients - Perform basic life support procedures as needed - Assist with medical procedures, such as wound care and dressing changes - Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals - Monitor and document patient behaviors and report any changes to the nursing staff - Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records - Assist with IV infusion and phlebotomy procedures as required - Provide specialized care for patients with dementia or other cognitive impairments Requirements: - Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant or completion of a nursing assistant training program - Basic life support (BLS) certification - Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is preferred - Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures - Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members - Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively - Compassionate and caring attitude towards patients Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
