maintains a world class Business Continuity Program (BCP).
Our goals are to ensure the safety of our employees and their families, provide our customers with the communications services they rely on, and to support the communities where we operate during emergency situations.
The BCP Program Project Support Specialist will play a key role to further improve our BCP capabilities.
This will be achieved by supporting field and Atlanta employees involved with BCP plan development, plan execution, plan maintenance, training of employees assigned with BCP tasks, and in a time of need, support BCP teams with recovery and restoration activities.
During on-call rotations and active Business Continuity Planning (BCP) events, this role requires availability outside standard business hours, potentially including weekends and company holidays.
Furthermore, this role may entail continuous engagement during both natural and human-made crisis situations.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions Supports updating checklists (pre-season, pre-event preparation, and response) and all supporting documentation for Business Continuity Plans (BCP) plans.
Supports the launch of seasonal planning checklists to the regional markets/areas and certifies completion by established target dates.
Promotes best practice sharing throughout the CCI BCP plans, administers the standardized BCP plan and processes to support adherence to ISO 22301.
Supports the delivery of training on our BCP process and tools to CCI employees new to business continuity, and refresher training to existing BCP team members, as requested.
Enrolls BCP team members in BCP website and tools.
Administers GETS and WPS accounts for all CCI locations, AlertMedia for all CCI locations, and weather vendor tool for all CCI locations.
Supports the creation, distribution, and audit aspects around BCP plans and tools to ensure compliance with ISO 22301, SOC II, HIPAA, Etc.
Participates in assigned shared tasks when BCP preparation or response is required.
Collective team responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following: scheduling of conference calls and the launch of checklists to the teams, may be responsible for executing on actions as part of a response.
Provides collaborative input as team member in the development of BCP exercise and co-facilitation of exercises.
Supports initiatives to maintain and grow relationships with emergency management agencies, Public Service/Utilities Commissions, and electrical utilities.
Supports the coordination of various activities with other Cox divisions, newly added Lines of Business to company portfolio, and works closely with CEI Corporate Security.
Acts in support of change across all CCI Regions.
This may include, but not be limited deployment of new BCP tools, revised processes, or revised procedures.
Supports collaboration with a diverse range of functional boundary partners across various business areas and echelons.
Demonstrates ability to standardize processes or reduce transactions around specific tasks/functions.
Upon completion of training, this position will assume on-call responsibilities one week per month.
Under the guidance of BCP leadership, responsibilities during this week include preparation and communication of threat monitoring intelligence and serving as the initial point of contact for potential BCP events occurring during that week.
Due to the level of sensitive information this position will be exposed to; the candidate will be required to complete an NDA or applicable documentation/form at time of hire.
1 to 5% travel may be required.
Qualifications Skills and Requirements: Minimum High School Diploma/GED and 5 years' experience in a related field.
The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline and 3 years' experience; or 7 years' experience in a related field Requires strong working knowledge of Office 365 Suite of tools, SharePoint Administration, and Outlook Distribution group creation/maintenance.
Basic knowledge of Adobe PDF Excellent interpersonal, leadership, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization.
Must be flexible for emergency response activities as needed.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving history Infrequent travel between locations within region as well as other Cox locations across country as needed.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team Ability to conduct virtual or in-person meetings with audiences up to 500 employees.
Capacity to learn and grow into more strategic level roles that will help progress the program CCI's BCP program.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills Preferred BS/BA degree in related discipline strongly desired 2 or more years of experience in a management role preferred.
Previous experience in managing situations of crisis or high stress and uncertainty.
Knowledge of telecommunications systems technology Knowledge of GIS systems and/or technology Knowledge of Emergency Management operating principles (NIMS and Incident Command System) Knowledge of safety and risk management techniques Demonstrated experience with content management systems.
Knowledge of telecommunications system operations Industry certification in Business Continuity or actively working toward certification.
Knowledge of ISO 22301 Standard on Business Continuity Prior experience communicating threats with focus on written/graphic components.
Prior experience with Microsoft Power Platform suite of tools Prior experience using AlertMedia or other mass communication tools.
